Bora rice is rich in starch, protein, vitamin, and minerals (Anwar, et al., 2011). Immunity booster regulates diabetes, prevents chronic diseases, reduces inflammation & optimizes digestion. Recommended for pregnant women, heart problem and anemic people (Dutta J.K. et al., 2015).
How to Use
Boiled Rice served with dal, vegetable curry, soup, salads, risotto, pancakes, rice cakes, Idli, dosa batter and desserts like kheer, paysum, sweet pancakes etc.
Regular boiled rice recipe: wash and soak for 5 to 15 minutes. Boil in a covered vessel in water – 3:1 or pressure cook for 2-3 whistles, water – 2:1
Jolpan Recipe: Wash and soak bora rice for 5-6 hours. Boil for 10-15 minutes. Add fresh coconut, jaggery and cardamom powder. Mix and serve.
