Buckwheat (Kuttu) Dhokla Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Buckwheat – 1&1/4 cups
  • Curd- 1/2 cup
  • Green chili paste – 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger paste – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt- 1 tsp

How to Prepare  Batter
Soak the buckwheat groats with little water for an hour and grind into a smooth paste. Add water to get the desired consistency. Or Add flat black rice flour. This is instant batter.

Method
Mix buckwheat flour,  curds and  ½ cup of water in a deep bowl.  Soak for at least 5-6 hours. Later add green chilly paste, ginger paste and salt to the batter and mix very well. Grease the plate with oil and pour batter on the plate.  Steam for  12 to 15 minutes or till the dhoklas are cooked. Cool, cut into pieces and serve with green chutney.
